Freemasonry is the oldest fraternal organization in the world, based on moral and spiritual values that emphasize integrity, compassion, and service. The Most Worshipful St. Mark Grand Lodge AF&AM of the State of Indiana, Inc. continues this tradition by building better men through discipline, education, and brotherhood, with a strong commitment to uplifting our communities across Indiana.
Any man of lawful age (18 and older), who believes in a Supreme Being, possesses good character, and seeks self-improvement and service to others is welcome to petition for membership. We are proud of our legacy of inclusion and excellence, welcoming men from all walks of life and backgrounds into our Masonic family.

No, Freemasonry is not a religion. We do, however, require that our members profess a belief in a Supreme Being. Our teachings encourage faith, morality, and respect for all religions, but Freemasonry does not offer a path to salvation or replace religious practice.
Our members engage in meaningful fellowship, support charitable causes, develop leadership skills, and participate in structured degree work and Masonic education. Through our Lodges and affiliated organizations, we sponsor scholarships, mentor youth, and respond to needs in our communities across Indiana.
Our jurisdiction is governed by the Most Worshipful Grand Master and elected Grand Lodge Officers. Local subordinate Lodges, such as South Gate Lodge No. 5 and King Hiram Lodge No. 4, William Taylor No. 1, are each led by a Worshipful Master and officers. We also support Royal Arch Masons, Knights Templar, Consistory (AASR), Shrine Temples, and the Order of the Eastern Star under our recognized Concordant and Appendant bodies.
You can visit our official website or contact our Grand Lodge office to be directed to a Lodge near your home or work. We have Lodges in several cities including Gary, Indianapolis, (soon Fort Wayne and South Bend), and we are continuing to grow throughout the state. 1+ 219-200-4277 or mwstgl@gmail.com
The process begins with expressing interest. You will be invited to meet members and ask questions. If you decide to move forward, you will complete a petition.
